Parents approve. Guardians grow.
| EFFECTIVE DATE | September 8, 2026 |
|---|---|
| APPLIES TO | QuestGrow for iPhone and iPad, and related services |
Please read these Terms carefully.
These Terms are a binding agreement between the adult account holder and QuestGrow. A child uses QuestGrow only through the adult-managed family experience and does not create a separate QuestGrow account.
| Important: QuestGrow records earned Screen Time Bank minutes inside the app. It does not automatically lock, unlock, monitor, or control a child’s device. |

Terms at a glance
This summary is provided for convenience. The numbered sections that follow are the complete Terms and control if there is any inconsistency.
| Topic | What it means |
|---|---|
| Adult-managed use | The account holder must be an adult parent or legal guardian. Children use only the restricted child experience under adult supervision. |
| Tasks and rewards | Parents assign and approve real-world tasks. XP, Guardian progress, shields, and Screen Time Bank minutes are virtual app features with no cash value. |
| Subscriptions | QuestGrow is subscription-based. Purchases, renewals, trials, cancellations, and refunds are handled through Apple under the terms shown at purchase. |
| Privacy | QuestGrow is designed to minimize child data. The Privacy Policy explains what is processed, the parental consent process, how QuestGrow addresses COPPA where applicable, and the adult’s choices. |
| Account deletion | Deleting a QuestGrow account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel the subscription separately in Apple account settings. |
| Parent judgment | QuestGrow is a family routine tool, not a childcare, safety, medical, educational, or device-control service. |
1. Agreement and acceptance
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the QuestGrow mobile application, its parent and child experiences, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). “QuestGrow,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider identified as the seller of QuestGrow in its App Store listing. “You” means the adult account holder.
By creating an account, starting a subscription or trial, pairing a child device, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the QuestGrow Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Adult eligibility and family setup
You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement and must be an adult parent or legal guardian of each child whose use you manage through the Service. QuestGrow is not offered for a child to register independently.
• The adult signs in and controls the parent account, subscription, settings, task assignments, approvals, pairing, and deletion choices.
• A family may create up to three Guardian profiles. QuestGrow uses neutral labels such as Guardian 1, Guardian 2, and Guardian 3 rather than requiring a child’s real name.
• A child accesses a restricted child experience through a pairing code or an adult-authorized Child Mode. The child does not receive parent permissions.
You represent that you have authority to authorize each child’s use and to provide any parental permission described in the Privacy Policy.
3. What QuestGrow provides
QuestGrow helps families turn everyday routines into parent-managed quests. A child may start and mark a task as done; the adult reviews it and may approve it or request another attempt. Approved tasks may add virtual XP, Screen Time Bank minutes, streak progress, shields, and Guardian animations.
QuestGrow is a motivational and organizational tool. It is not a childcare provider, emergency service, safety-monitoring service, medical or mental-health service, educational assessment, or substitute for adult supervision and judgment.
4. Parent responsibilities and child use
You are responsible for:
• choosing age-appropriate, safe, lawful, and reasonable tasks for the child;
• personally deciding whether a task was completed and whether to approve it;
• supervising activities that could involve health, safety, travel, outdoor play, food, tools, animals, or other risks;
• deciding how any earned Screen Time Bank minutes will be honored in real life; and
• ensuring that the child uses the paired device and Child Mode only as you authorize.
Do not rely on a notification, task status, animation, streak, or device connection indicator as proof of a child’s location, wellbeing, supervision, or completion of a real-world activity.
5. Accounts, PINs, pairing, and security
The parent signs in using the available Apple account flow. You must protect your Apple account, parent PIN, devices, and pairing codes. Pairing codes are temporary credentials and should be shared only with the intended family device.
• Do not permit a child or unauthorized person to access parent controls, subscription management, or account deletion.
• Tell us promptly at support@questgrow.app if you believe an account, PIN, pairing code, or paired device has been compromised.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account and authorized devices, except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
6. Tasks and adult-entered content
QuestGrow includes preset tasks and lets adults create or edit custom task titles. Custom task content is private to the family experience and is not a public post. You retain any rights you have in text you submit and give QuestGrow a limited license to host, process, display, and transmit that text only as needed to operate, secure, and support the Service.
You must not enter content that:
• includes a child’s full name, address, school, contact details, medical information, precise location, or other unnecessary sensitive information;
• is unlawful, threatening, abusive, sexually explicit, discriminatory, deceptive, or infringes another person’s rights; or
• encourages dangerous activity or is inappropriate for the child’s age and circumstances.
We may restrict or remove content, suspend functionality, or take other reasonable action when necessary to protect users, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.
7. Guardian progress, XP, and Screen Time Bank
Guardian characters, stages, XP, streaks, shields, Screen Time Bank minutes, task statuses, and reward animations are features of the Service. They are not money, stored value, gift cards, prizes, or property; they cannot be sold, transferred, redeemed for cash, or used outside QuestGrow.
QuestGrow applies product rules and limits, including a maximum of ten active daily tasks per Guardian and an adult-adjustable daily Screen Time Bank cap supported by the app. Once the minute cap is reached, a child may continue to earn XP even when additional minutes are not added. Product limits may evolve as the Service is updated.
The Screen Time Bank is informational only. QuestGrow does not read actual device usage, enforce Apple Screen Time settings, or automatically block or unlock a device. The adult is solely responsible for applying real-world device rules.
8. Subscriptions, trials, billing, and cancellation
Access to parent features requires an active QuestGrow subscription or eligible trial. Available plans may include monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. A yearly plan may include a seven-day introductory trial for eligible customers. Eligibility is determined through Apple and may be limited to one introductory offer per subscription group or Apple Account.
• Price and taxes. The price, currency, billing period, and any applicable taxes shown by Apple before purchase are the terms of that transaction. Prices may vary by storefront and may change as permitted by Apple and applicable law.
• Auto-renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless it is canceled through Apple before renewal. Apple charges the payment method associated with the Apple Account.
• Free trial. If an eligible trial is offered and is not canceled before it ends, it converts to the paid yearly subscription at the price presented at sign-up.
• Manage or cancel. Use Apple’s subscription settings to view, change, or cancel a subscription. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the then-current paid or trial period.
• Restore purchases. The Restore Purchases feature asks Apple to restore eligible subscription access associated with the Apple Account.
• Refunds and billing disputes. Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests and billing disputes are subject to Apple’s rules and applicable law.
An expired or canceled subscription may limit parent access, but it does not automatically delete family progress. Data handling after expiration is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Notifications and near-real-time updates
QuestGrow may send parent approval alerts, child reminders, and other service-related notifications when enabled. Delivery depends on device settings, network connectivity, Apple Push Notification service, background execution, and system conditions. Notifications and in-app updates may be delayed, duplicated, or unavailable and are not guaranteed.
Do not use QuestGrow notifications for emergencies, time-critical safety instructions, or monitoring a child. Notification preferences may be changed in QuestGrow or device settings where available.
10. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only for personal, non-commercial family use. You must not:
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to another family, child session, account, device, database, or system;
• bypass or interfere with parent authorization, PIN protections, pairing restrictions, subscription checks, task approvals, reward rules, security controls, or usage limits;
• probe, scrape, overload, disrupt, or misuse the Service or use automated means to extract data;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law; or
• use QuestGrow to harass, surveil, exploit, harm, or unlawfully profile a child or any other person.
11. License and intellectual property
Subject to these Terms and the applicable App Store license terms, QuestGrow grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to use the app and Service on supported devices you own or control for family purposes.
QuestGrow, its Guardian characters, artwork, animations, audio, interface, software, text, logos, and other content are owned by or licensed to QuestGrow and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you.
If you voluntarily send feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.
12. Third-party services and Apple terms
QuestGrow relies on third-party services to provide app distribution, sign-in, subscriptions, cloud hosting, notifications, and related infrastructure. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms and privacy practices. QuestGrow is responsible for the QuestGrow Service; third parties are responsible for their own services.
App Store license. The QuestGrow iOS and iPadOS app is licensed, not sold, and is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement: Apple Standard EULA. Apple is not responsible for providing QuestGrow support or maintenance.
13. Privacy, COPPA, and children’s data
Our Privacy Policy explains how QuestGrow collects, uses, protects, retains, and deletes information, including data associated with a child’s restricted experience. QuestGrow is designed to avoid requiring a child’s real name, email address, phone number, photograph, school, or precise location. Adults should not add this information to custom task titles or support messages unless it is strictly necessary.
QuestGrow is designed to comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and Rule (“COPPA”) where they apply. The adult represents that they are the child’s parent or legal guardian and must review the child privacy notice and complete the parental consent process before a Guardian is created or enabled for child use. The Privacy Policy describes the information collected, its purposes, service providers, retention, and the parent’s review, deletion, and withdrawal controls.
Read the Privacy Policy: questgrow.app/privacy
14. Account deletion and termination
You may delete one Guardian by opening Children, selecting that Guardian, and choosing Delete Guardian & Child Data. This withdraws consent, revokes the related child access, and deletes that Guardian’s child-scoped data without deleting the parent account or other Guardians.
You may delete the entire QuestGrow family account by opening Settings, choosing Account, and selecting Delete QuestGrow Account. If an in-app control is unavailable, contact support@questgrow.app. We may verify a support request and will process associated data as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to limited retention required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or backup purposes.
| Deleting a QuestGrow account does not cancel an Apple subscription. You must cancel the subscription separately through Apple to prevent future renewal charges. |
|---|
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create a safety or security risk, use the Service unlawfully, or if we are required to do so by law. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to address the issue. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—will survive.
15. Service availability, updates, and changes
We work to keep QuestGrow available and reliable, but the Service may be interrupted by maintenance, network conditions, third-party outages, device settings, software updates, or events beyond our reasonable control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or immediate operation.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features to improve the Service, respond to legal or security needs, or support new platforms. We will provide reasonable notice when a change materially reduces a paid feature during an active subscription period, unless urgent action is required for security, legal compliance, or service integrity.
16. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, QuestGrow and the Service are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will always be available, that notifications or updates will be immediate, or that a child will complete tasks or achieve any particular behavioral, educational, health, or family outcome.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a mandatory consumer guarantee or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, QuestGrow will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity; or harm arising from reliance on a notification, task status, Screen Time Bank entry, or other informational feature.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuestGrow’s total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amount paid for the QuestGrow subscription during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including where applicable liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death, or personal injury.
18. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections available in your country or region. Courts or dispute-resolution bodies having jurisdiction under applicable law may hear a dispute. Before starting formal proceedings, you and QuestGrow agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the issue by contacting support@questgrow.app, unless urgent relief or applicable law makes that impractical.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security practices, or business operations. We will post the revised Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law or when changes are material. Your continued use after the revised Terms become effective means you accept them, except where the law requires another form of consent.
